Yson Lorane Dickerson :: Inanimate Reanimate
About the Project ::
Inanimate Reanimate is one installation in a series approaching the visualization of memory and the catharsis of the loss felt from death. The projection of light through organic material, including entomological and botanic specimens imbues motion in the dead. The embracing of the 16mm projector in the presentation of the installation, and the unconventional projection surface, represent an attempt to embody the mechanical process of memory.
